Tom Shircliff is a co-founder and principal of Intelligent Buildings. Intelligent Buildings was founded in 2004 and provides smart building advisory services and managed services for new development and existing portfolios. Their work includes “The Smartest Building in America”, the largest energy analytics project in North America, thousands of cybersecurity site assessments, multiple “DIGIE” digital real estate awards, and the smart buildings standards for the federal governments of The United States, Canada and Singapore. Tom is a speaker and collaborator with numerous universities and national laboratories, a gubernatorial appointee for energy strategy and policy and founding Chairman of Envision Charlotte, a Clinton Global Initiative. Tom writes for industry publications and has been a contributing book author as well as co-inventing multiple real estate technology patents. Tom is an entrepreneur and executive with broad experience in Fortune 500 management, small business and venture capital-funded startups. Previously he was in management and leadership roles in the real estate and technology sectors with AT&T, Broadriver Communications and The Price Davis Company. Since co-founding Intelligent Buildings, LLC he has become a recognized expert in the field of commercial real estate technology consulting and risk management services.
