Facebook Connectivity

Head of Solutions & Deployments

I am currently a member of the Facebook Connectivity organization heading our Solutions and Deployments organization. In this role, I support Facebook’s efforts to improve internet coverage and bridge the digital divide through the adoption of innovative technology, efficient operational support system lifecycle management, and sustainable business models. Our goal is to establish impactful partnerships with network operators, equipment manufacturers, REITs and government organizations in order to make the world more open and connected.

I have worked globally in the telecommunications and IT Industries over the past thirty years. During my time at Facebook, I have supported operators with the adoption of open architecture hardware and software through the founding of the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) and ongoing support for the Open Compute Project (OCP). Prior to joining Facebook, I was the global lead for legacy service migrations at Accenture where I advised and worked with communications providers on product rationalization, copper to fiber migrations, customer experience analysis, decommissioning strategies for central office equipment and application development for scaling migration efforts.

I have held executive positions with a number of software start-up firms within the telecom industry as well as with leading carriers such as Bell Atlantic (now Verizon), Level 3 Communications and Genuity. My background includes leading Network Planning and Engineering, Product Management, Systems Development, Finance, and Operations organizations.

I completed my undergraduate work in Accounting at the College of William and Mary and received my MS in Information and Telecommunications Systems from the Johns Hopkins University.
