Curt Schade is the founder and CEO of Intertidal Holdings, a private investment group with investment activities in commercial real estate and private equity. His career includes extensive experience financing growth companies as an SMD at Bear Stearns and Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette as well as decades of private equity real estate experience. 

 For the past 10 years, his primary focus has been on commercial real estate and in 2012 co-founded Pretium Partners and Progress Residential, the largest privately owned single-family rental platform with more than 50,000 units under management. As President and COO, he took the company from 2 employees to more than 500. He is currently co-CEO of Ziff Real Estate Partners, a real estate private equity firm, and on the Board of Elandis Ventures, a private equity multi-family real estate joint venture with a large UK based financial institution, and Evergreen Development, a real estate development company based in the western US. 

Curt’s activities related to technology and growth companies include Board positions with Amplified Ag, an agriculture technology company, and a leading CEA grower of leafy greens under the Vertical Roots brand, and 5G LLC, a company that operates at the intersection of technology and commercial real estate. 

Curt is a 1980 graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and serves on the school’s Foundation Board and chairs its Finance Committee.
